Mike Robertson who was recognized as the Mississippi Child Nutrition Director of the Year at the MASA conference on October 24. Robertson received the honor of Director of the Year from Mississippi School Nutrition Association.
School meals were expected to decline after serving free meals for two years. At New Albany, school meals increased at
breakfast and lunch. “Chicken tender Thursdays”, chicken and waffles, and bone in chicken hot wings are just a few of the meals that are popular. Pizza and burgers are also very popular.
New Albany has renovated its High School, Middle School and Elementary School dining halls. Our students enjoy the fresh, friendly designs on the walls, ceilings, and new tables. Planning and budgeting for this kind of new look has occurred over the last 5 years. The students, staff, and even past students have commented about the happy environment.
