NASD Receives Beacon Award

New Albany School District received the “Beacon Award” through the MSBA Lighthouse School Leader Awards Program.  MSBA recognizes the school district leadership team (the school board and the superintendent) in the MSBA Lighthouse School Leader Awards Program at the MSBA Annual Conference.  The Awards Program applauds outstanding student performance on required testing under the state’s accountability system. The Beacon Award is based on the following criteria:  “A” rated school district; all schools rated “C” or higher; and district in good standing as defined by the MDE Office of Accreditation.  Accepting the award on behalf of New Albany School District are School Board Member Lauren Bailey & Assistant Superintendent John Ferrell.
