Kellie McClelland, NAHS School Reporter

Good morning New Albany! I hope everybody had a great snow break. Now is the time to get back in the swing of things! Report cards went out Tuesday; hope all is well with you on that….

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat cast have been practicing over the break for their performance, which will take place on February 5th, 6th, and 7th. Tickets are on sale now: you may call the office (534-1805) any time during the day for additional information or for ticket purchase. Tickets cost $6 for general admission and $8 for reserved seating.

It’s amazing the time, money, and effort the cast members and directors put into this show. The sets are made by NAHS students. Mrs. Thompson’s art students paint the props and set, which are built by Mr. Billy Matkins’ building trades classes. The cost of putting on a production like this is quite expensive, with the cost of lumber, paint, backdrops, musicians, costumes and production rights, it adds up quickly! Any donations toward the play would be very much appreciated; you may contact Mrs. Pam Conlee at 534-1802 if you are interested in helping financially. We hope to see everyone at the musical this year, so call and order tickets now! A final reminder about the play, t-shirts are still on sale!

Upcoming events: Softball tryouts are next week on the 20th and 21st. The Union County tournament is this weekend Jan 14-16, come support the Bulldogs! Any students interested in running track should attend a meeting this Friday morning in the auditorium at 7:30. Students interested in trying out for the softball team should pickup a permission form in the office, tryouts are January 20-21.

Seniors! Pictures for senior ads are due Friday, January 15. Also, if you are using a drape or tux picture that was made by a photographer other than Mr. Anding, you need to have these brought in by Jan. 29. Otherwise, your Anding photo will be used in the yearbook. Finally, baby pictures for the yearbook are due by January 29. Next Wednesday the 20th, the District Reading Fair will be held.

ACT reminders: Blue Mt. College will host a workshop Jan. 25 and 26. Cost is $40, contact Blue Mountain if interested.
