Eli Hill was recently recognized with a Skill Point Certificate due to his exceptional performance at the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Competition. SkillsUSA awards Skill Point Certificates to outstanding national contestants in the SkillsUSA Championships. Central to these certifications are the expertise and industry-defined competencies compiled in the SkillsUSA Championships Technical Standards. Along with the national gold, silver or bronze medal, the Skill Point Certificate represents the pinnacle of achievement in demonstrating proficiency and workplace readiness in the student’s occupational specialty. Eli earned a Skills Point Certificate for the SkillsUSA Power Equipment Technology National Championships Event in the areas of Written Test, Parts Identification, Failure Analysis, Speed Control Systems, Electrical Systems, Electronic Fuel Injection, Internal Engine, Fuel Systems, Running Adjustments, 2-Stroke Running Adjustments, Powertrain Systems, and Cutting Systems. Eli will be a senior at New Albany High School and will complete the second year in the Automotive Technology program at New Albany School of Career & Technical Education. Mr. Jonathan Garrison is his Automotive I & II instructor and SkillsUSA advisor.
