Carly Pegues, a rising sophomore at New Albany High School, was selected to play the clarinet in the 2023 Mississippi Lions All State Band. NA Pride of New Albany Band Director David Hopple served as the Assistant Concert Director. This band marched in the Washington DC 4th ofJuly Parade and competed in the 75th Annual Lions Band International Parade competition in Boston, Massachusetts. Mississippi was the winner of the of the International Lions Band Parade and was the state’s 37th time to win this international competition.
