The school week was cut short due to Labor Day last week. But even in a four day week, there’s still news happening at New Albany High School. The most exciting news is the girls’ volleyball team got their first home win of the season. The win was also their first division win of the year. The football team suffered a crushing defeat against Amory this week. The final score was 30-21.  Also, the softball girls fell short in the Union County Tournament losing to Ingomar.

Tuesday the JROTC helped us honor the lost lives of the 9/11 tragedy.  They even thought to translate the ceremony into Spanish.  The chorus sang the national anthem as the band played our country’s anthem.
