Congratulations again to our still undefeated football team for yet another victory against Tishomingo County in division play. This win ended regular season play for the team and made our record a perfect 11-0. This Friday night we host Rosa Fort for the first round of playoffs. Head on down to “The Kitchen” for kickoff at 7:00 to support the team.

NAHS Gifted art students had former student Crystal McKee visit them last week. She is now attending the Mississippi School of the Arts in Brookhaven. She shared her portfolio with classes and talked about her school. She is student government president and has recently been accepted into the Art Institute of Chicago. We are so proud of Crystal!

This Thursday, November 4 is Meet the Bulldogs for basketball at Memorial Gym, make plans to come out and meet our guys and girls as they prepare for great seasons. On Thursday, October 21 the first meeting of the Junior Civitans was held in the high school media center.  Junior Civitans is a school and community service based club that welcomes all students’ grades 9-12.  The sponsors are Mrs. Sara Garrett and Mrs. Amee Cox.  The next meeting of Junior Civitans will be held at 7:20 a.m. on Thursday, November 4 in the library.  Officer elections will be held during this meeting.  All students are welcome to join.

The NAHS Life Skills class is currently preparing for their annual Santa Pictures Fundraiser at the elementary school.  Students in K-5th grade will have an opportunity to meet Santa and share their Christmas wish.  Pictures will be $3.00, and photo buttons will be $5.00.  Santa pictures are scheduled for Nov. 30 – Dec. 3.

In September, Dr. Collette Cross and her mother, Mrs. Tasso Branch, visited the Life Skills class and taught the students how to make chex mix.  Thanks CC and Soso, it was great!
