Officer Mike Erby, Director of Safety & Security for New Albany School District, and Officer P.J. Doyle, NAES School Resource Officer, met with students on October 1 to discuss the new STOPit app. STOPit is a technology platform which will help to deter and mitigate bullying, cyber abuse, and other inappropriate behaviors. STOPit works by empowering students to protect themselves and stand up for their peers online. Students will have access to the STOPit mobile app, which has two features:  REPORT can be used to anonymously report incidents to school contacts. and MESSENGER can be used to engage in anonymous two-way communication with school contacts.
