Because 1 in 10 students in Mississippi has experienced the loss of a parent or sibling, New Albany Elementary School faculty and staff participated in a virtual Grief-Sensitive School Training, developed by the Coalition to Support Grieving Students, with Dr. Nikisha S. Ware. NAES has been awarded a $500 grant from New York Life to support its efforts in becoming a Grief-Sensitive School.
