Students at New Albany Elementary School have been engaging in different units of study in honor of Black History Month. Second grade students and teachers were honored to have Ms. Juanita G. Floyd read her book Summer of 1969 The Story of Cozett Juanita Gambrel and share her experiences growing up and attending school right here in Union County. She had a wonderful and encouraging message for the students that her mother taught her growing up. She encouraged all the 2nd grade students to follow the Golden Rule, show love, and always work together.
