The New Albany Garden Club sponsored a Youth Poetry Contest, “Pop Goes the Seed”, at New Albany Elementary School. Madison Rodgers, Chloe Leath, and KaBrina Carias were all first place winners in the state of Mississippi, as well as placing in the Deep South. Jackie Guerrero was first place winner in the state of Mississippi and also placed in the Deep South for her Woodsy Owl and Smokey Bear poster-her poster will be entered into the national level competition.
