New Albany School District was honored as a part of the Mississippi Department of Education’s 2019 Celebration of Excellence Tour. The program was held on November 5 at New Albany Elementary School and included performances by the New Albany Middle School Cheerleaders; the New Albany High School Air Force JROTC; cast members of the New Albany High School’s musical; the New Albany Elementary School 4th Grade Music Class; and the New Albany High School’s Pride of New Albany Marching Band. Special guest, State Superintendent of Education Dr. Carey Wright, presented New Albany School District Superintendent Dr. Lance Evans with the “A” Award of Excellence.
