Justin Medlin, NAMS Head Baseball CoachThe New Albany School Board of Trustees has approved Justin Medlin as the new Head Baseball Coach for New Albany Middle School (NAMS).

“We are excited to welcome Coach Medlin to the Bulldog family,” said Paul Henry, NAMS Principal.  “He brings playing experience and excitement to our program and will work hard to positively affect our students both on and off the field.”

Medlin has experience as a college baseball player playing both at the community college and Division 1 level.  He played for Itawamba Community College, Middle Tennessee State University and Arkansas State University.

His coaching experience includes working with summer league competitive baseball programs including American Junior Legion baseball.  He also has experience in athletic performance program development including skill and talent development as well as weight training.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University and his Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education from Belhaven University.  He is currently pursuing his Masters in Sports Administration from Arkansas State University.

“I am super excited to join New Albany and coach alongside a great staff who strive for success in every aspect of life,” Medlin said.  He added that his goal is to make better citizens in the classroom and better men on the baseball field.
