Olivia and Madison Hardy, both students at New Albany Elementary School, delivered a $1,130 donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on April 5.  Olivia presented a TED talk on St. Jude as part of an EXCEL project under the leadership of Ninabeth Capaning, EXCEL Teacher.  Following her TED talk, she collected donations from guests at the event, from teachers and staff members at NAES, and from individuals in the community.

Madison is receiving treatment for lymphoma at St. Jude. She began treatment in October 2020 and will complete treatment in May 2023. Olivia is a 5th grader and Madison is in the 1st grade.  They are the daughters of Mary Beth and Drew Hardy.

“When St. Jude touches your life and you watch someone personally saved and gifted with what they can do, you just can’t help but become passionate about their mission also,” explained Mary Beth Hardy.
