First grade students at New Albany Elementary School recently learned about careers that involve animals.  This special career event was held on Friday, September 21.  Students rotated through five stations to learn about various careers and understand how these individuals work with animals in their daily jobs.  First graders had the opportunity to learn from:  Belinda Chism, Shallow Creek Bucking Bulls; Steve Coleman, Mississippi Department of Wildlife & Fisheries; Cool Creek Kennels; New Albany Police Department; and James Shannon, Mississippi State Extension Service-Pontotoc County.
