New Albany School District and the Office of Child Nutrition have established the follow procedures and schedules for meal distribution.

Hybrid Schedule:

For students on the hybrid schedule, the following distribution procedures will be followed.

  • Students will notify their first period teacher each day if they want breakfast and lunch meals for the following day(s).
  • Meals will be delivered to students (in their classrooms) who request meals at the end of the school day.

Monday:  Students can receive breakfast and lunch meals for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tuesday:  Students can receive breakfast and lunch meals for Wednesday and Thursday.

Thursday: Students can receive breakfast and lunch meals for Friday.

Friday:  Students can receive breakfast and lunch meal for Monday.

Virtual Schedule:

For students who have chosen the 100% Virtual School option for their school instruction may pick-up meals each Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00-10:00 am at the back of the New Albany Middle School Cafeteria.

Tuesday:  Students can receive breakfast and lunch meals for 2 days.

Thursday:  Students can receive breakfast and lunch meals for 3 days.

*Please note that students who pay reduced or full price and who are picking up meals at NAMS Cafeteria must have money in their My School Bucks account or be prepared to pay with correct change.

Important information:

  • Go to https://www.newalbanyschools.us/parents/ to view more information regarding Food Services and Cafeteria Online pay.
  • For food safety purposes, the meals provided will be typical sack meals with cold food options.
  • Students who received free or reduced meals last year will have that same status for 20 days.
  • Students are encouraged to turn in their lunch application as soon as possible to determine if they qualify for free or reduced meals for the 20-21 school year.
