New Albany Elementary School students enjoyed a day of celebration on Friday, October 16. “Celebrating Our Bulldog Best” was a safe, virtual celebration that rewarded students for their hard work, achievement, and perseverance. The celebration included a fun video filmed in-house which included positive comments from the principal and counselors; celebrated August & September Citizens of the Month; celebrated students’ and staff birthdays for first 9 Weeks; recognized perfect attendance for students and staff for first 9 weeks; and encouraged students to earn rewards for the 2nd 9 Weeks. In addition, students watched Ned’s Mindset Mission, a live virtual show that provided inspiration through storytelling, yo-yo tricks, and humor. The day ended with a virtual visit from Coach Calhoun and “Move to Learn”. Students participated in fun exercise activities while Coach Calhoun encouraged them to focus on goals of positive behavior and academic success.
