Greetings, everyone! The month of April is beginning to wind down already, and it wonât be long until this school year will conclude as well! Hope everyone is having a good week as the final week of April unfoldsâŠ
On Tuesday, April 20 the Life Skills classes were guests of the New Albany Kiwanis Club. After a nice lunch at Taylor's, Mrs. Kelly Coltharp. NAHS students Staron Jones, Ismael Mendoza, April Burks, and Amanda Jarvis presented a program on upcoming Frog-a-Nanny events. Frog-A-Nanny will be on Friday, May 14th. More details about this event as the time gets closer.
The NAHS Journalism Staff is continuing their DVD fundraiser. These DVDs comprise of videos that are available to view on the school website www.nahighschool.com . It includes a 2 disc set which costs $20 and will feature the following videos in their entirety: A Day at NAHS, On the Outside Looking In, Camp Freshman 2009, Cross Country, FRA âTeamâ/Billye Jean, Game Day at NA, âJoseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoatâ highlights with costumes, Mix it Up day, New Haven Fundraiser, Operation Warm Heart, Ripley Game â09 (football), Senior âYo Momma, Thriller 09, Softball, Lady Dawgs go to the Big House, Homecoming 09 (video shown in the afternoon ceremony), Memorial to Marshuan, and Frog-A-Nanny, beauty review and spring sports. Orders will be taken through May 15 and DVD orders will be delivered during exam week.
State Testing is this week. And just a reminder to those who are taking it, here is the schedule: Mon., April 26-Biology I, Tues., April 27-U.S. History, Wed., April 28- Algebra I, Thurs., April 29-English II, Fri., April 30th-Make-up Tests. I would like to wish everyone taking the State Tests good luck. Study hard, eat a good breakfast, get plenty of rest before the big day, and you will do well!
Itâs that time of the year for juniors, seniors, and their datesâŠPROM! A stressful event to some, but a fun night nonetheless⊠Prom will be held Saturday, May 1st at the Middle School Cafeteria. The theme this year is Mardi Gras. Just a few remindersâŠjuniors, be sure to have your prom fee paid to Mrs. Criddle and come to the Middle School cafeteria this week to help decorate. Anyone interested in buying a prom date ticket, please see Mrs. Criddle; the cost is $10. Also, anyone interested in buying a prom T-shirt, the forms are available in the office.
