NAHS School News

Kellie McClelland, NAHS Reporter

“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” was a huge success! Three performances with almost sellout crowds had only one complaint, “It was too short!” Congratulations to the cast and crew for an outstanding show which many claim to be the best NAHS has put on stage. Many of our teachers put in a lot of hours at night and on weekends to make this all possible. Ms. Windham, Ms. McClain and Mrs. Crain worked with backstage and sound crew while Mrs. Thompson did makeup and Mrs. Muncie was directing. Our prayers go out to Mrs. Nanney and Mr. Phil Nanney as Mrs. Nanney recovers from surgery. We also appreciate the efforts of all parents who had a part in making this production happen. Many people gave money, fed the cast, helped with costumes and makeup, lights and sound. We thank everyone for their part!

Next week is School Board Recognition Week. We look forward to honoring our school board which includes: Dr. Jason Dees, President; Bernice Bailey, Vice President; Bobby Gault, Treasurer; Cathy McClinton; Jerry Tate; and Fred Rogers, Board Attorney. We appreciate their willingness to serve and their dedication to our schools.

In sports, our basketball teams continue to excel! Our teams play at ICC in division tournament this Thursday, girls at 7:00 and boys 8:30. Our girls record is  25 - 0 and the boys are 18 – 8.  Both teams earned #1 seeds for the division tournament.
