Since I last updated you all, some good things have continued to happen in the Athletic Department. In basketball, our boys and girls have secured the #1 seeds in the Division 1-4A tournament that starts next Tuesday at ICC. Congratulations to the coaching staff and their players! The girls' team has climbed the "RANKINGS" ladder and claimed the #1 spot in the state! On Tuesday, they will wrap up division play and will also honor our seniors at 5:45 before the girls' contest. On Thursday we will travel to Tupelo for our last regular season game. Tip-off is at 6, and I'm sure they would appreciate your support.
In soccer, our girls' season came to an end as they traveled all the way down to Newton County in the first round playoff matchup. The girls were simply outmatched against a very seasoned team from Newton County. We are still very proud of our girls! We will miss our seniors deeply. I know we will see them again for years to come as bulldog supporters. The boys' soccer team picked up the first playoff win in soccer history at New Albany as they beat Newton County, but their season, too, is over after a loss Monday. Every other spring sport is working hard and anxious to get started with regular practice. On February 8, all spring sports will be allowed to practice after school. We look forward to Tennis, Golf, Fast-Pitch Softball, and Baseball. It's almost here!

Congratulations to all of you!
