The ABC’s of NAHS: A is for acting mature in your classes, B is for beating the other team!, C is for cafeteria food, D is for doing your homework, E is for exciting football games, F is for fighting which is against the rules, G is for the grid iron field., H is for homecoming festivities, I is for ionic bonds that we learn about in Mrs. Crain’s Biology I class, J is for juice at lunch, K is for Kitchen's Field where we support our dogs every Friday night, L is for loving our football team, M is for many members of many clubs here at NAHS, N is for the napping in class, which you should not do, O is for opening your lockers in between classes, P is for praying for a good grade on your test, Q is for never quitting, even when it gets tough throughout the year, R is for reaching for the stars when you finally decide what you want to do, S is for summer, a time we all look forward to, T is for tardies, three and it’s a paddling, U is for understanding all the materials on your nine-weeks tests, V is for our hope at a victory this Friday at Itawamba, W is for waiting to see what you made on the ACT, X is for eXcellent staff members here at NAHS, Y is for the yellow sunshine that we haven’t been able to see much of the past few weeks!, Z is for all the zany people we have here at our school.
Wow! Can you believe the first nine-weeks are almost over? For the freshmen, we’re finally settled into high school, and ready to get on with the year. For the seniors, some wanting it to slow down and remember, others, wanting to head out to college. Either way, we hope you have done well so far on your nine-week tests.
Congratulations to Cade Simmons and Mario Waldrop who were top dawg winners last week.
Northeast is having an ACT Workshop Monday and Tuesday October 12-13 and October 19-20. It’s from 4:00-8:00, the cost is $40, and it’s at Hargett Hall on the Booneville Campus. Contact Phyllis Colson (662)720-7277 if you would like to attend.
Come out to Itawamba and see our NAHS football team at 7:00 this Friday. The NAHS Band has the State Marching Festival in Tupelo on Saturday, October 10, and would love for you to come and support them.
Remember that October 12 is no school for Columbus Day. October 15 report cards come out, so keep those grades up. October 25-27 is school musical auditions, be thinking about if you’d like to participate, and the 27th is the Senior Retreat. October 28 is Senior Composite pictures, all seniors will be photographed that day, regardless of whether they purchase pictures.
