April Showers bring May flowers?  I hope so because all this rain better have a positive outcome!

Baseball has certainly been busy with all their games- victories and defeats.  On April 13^th, they fell to Lewisburg 9-4 , but it was a close game with 9 innings . On April 14^th , they were beaten by Tupelo 5-1.  However, they won against Senatobia on April 16^th on senior night with a score of 10-4.  They played Senatobia again on April 17^th in division play to celebrate another victory 14-4.  April 18^th, they played Rosa Fort. Playoffs will start on Friday for baseball.  Show your school spirit and cheer on our bulldogs!

On April 13^th, Softball Lady Dawgs won against Lafayette 15-9.  They played April 16^th with a loss against North Pontotoc.  Tuesday night April 17^th, girls played Senatobia losing 4-3, but playing their best!  Senior Night will be Thursday against Lafayette and will be home.  Playoffs will start Friday for softball as well so come out and support the Lady Dawgs!

NAHS Powerlifting boys Cade Simmons, Jerrell Howell, and Stan Gilbert spent the weekend at the State Powerlifting Meet. Cade got fourth place and the others did their best as well.

If you are interested in volleyball, tryouts will be next Tuesday for high school girls.  Lashay Ashford will be the volleyball coach.  I’m sure many people are very excited for volleyball to finally be a sport included in NAHS athletics!

Congratulations are in order for two NAHS juniors Moses Kingsley and Jazmine Spears on their accomplishment of making the Daily Journal All-Area Basketball Team.

On April 12^th, Lady Golfers did well with a shoot 47-49 on the front 9.  They will play at the Fulton Country Club on the 20^th in the Girls District Tournament. Also on April 12^th the tennis team had a 4-3 win over Tupelo.  On April 19^th, Tennis will have the first round of playoffs at home and will host the Houston Hilltoppers.  Track Meet will be April 20^th at Lewisburg.

AFJROTC Awards Night will be April 19^th.   April 19^th will be the Prom-Parent meeting in the Auditorium at 5:30.   Each student should bring a parent or guardian with them to this meeting.  The FCA Rally is April 18^th! Definitely something you do not want to miss!  The NAHS Beauty Review will be April 21^st. Band Banquet will be April 27^th.  Progress Reports go out April 20^th!
