Press Release BULLDOG SHUTTLE SERVICE READY TO ROLL
The New Albany Schools will offer a new service to the community this fall called the “Bulldog Shuttle”. Beginning with football season, the shuttle will patrol the parking areas at New Albany High School and pick up any fans who need assistance getting to the stadium. The new carts seat four people and will be used at athletic and other events throughout the schools.
“We plan to operate the shuttle for all home football games and other events throughout the year,” said Robert Merritt, District Athletics and Activities Director. “We know there are people who would like to see the games, but can’t walk the distance to the stadium. We will pick you up and get you to your seat before the game and take you back to your car when you are ready to leave.”
Golf carts for the shuttle service were donated by BNA Ba k and Renasant Bank. Michael Brown, Renasant Bank President hopes that people will use this service to enjoy a lot of different events. “We had noticed at different events that there are people who want to see their children or grandchildren who aren’t able to walk the distance from their cars. We think this will be a great service for all events from football and soccer games to NAHS graduation,” said Brown.
Bob Spencer, BNA Bank Vice President said BNA is proud to contribute to the schools in this way. “We want to help those who are physically unable to walk to the stadium have easier access to the facilities so they can support their children and grandchildren who participate,” said Spencer. “We are always happy to help the schools, and we see this as an opportunity to provide a service that will make it safer and more convenient for people to attend events at the New Albany Schools.”
